Gisèle Theriault, founder – head designerGisèle Theriault Gisèle Theriault is the founder and chief design officer of The Barber’s Daughters, a Toronto based jewelry design studio. In her role as CDO, Gisèle guides the TBDs creative staff through her vision that ultimately produces the inspirational jewelry line that is sold throughout North America. Although Gisèle has worn many hats as an entrepreneur, when asked she will tell you it is the last four years that have been most important. It was at that time her creative talent answered an inner calling to use her jewelry making talent as a vessel of inspiration. A compilation of silver, carved talisman and hand engraved words became the work we enjoy and live by today. Everyone can find inspiration at TheBarbersDaughters.com, galleries, shops and juried craft fairs throughout North America. This is just the beginning as Gisèle is dedicated to spreading the joy throughout the world through new design and business expansion. Gisèle has studied jewelry design under the apprenticeship of Michael Golland in the UK and continued her training as a metal smith at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Currently Gisèle continues her independent studies under the tutelage of goldsmiths Kaoruko Sawabe and Hassein Azhari. When Gisèle is not traveling the world at large she is enjoying her home in Toronto and the company of her three children. |
